SINCE ANCIENT YEARS, GREEK OLIVE OIL HAS BEEN USED AS A NUTRITIONAL INGREDIENT IN MEDITERRANEAN COOKING.
IT NOT ONLY ADDS GREAT FLAVOR BUT PROMOTES GOOD HEALTH WITH IT’S ANTIOXIDANT PROPERTIES.
Our Elyros Extra Virgin Olive Oil is produced from Cretan Olive trees called “Koronaeki” in the Apokorona and Sfakia regions of Crete, Greece. Some of these trees are the oldest in the world—being thousands of years—and are considered the best to produce olive oil.
When the olives are mature, they are collected by hand and processed at a traditional olive mill in Stylos, Apokornas, where they are cold pressed only once. They use traditional methods of pressing to secure the highest nutritional value and give it the perfect aroma and taste. The olive oil is then stored in 3000 ton stainless steel indoor tanks—the perfect environment to ensure it unaltered quantity and freshness—before being bottled and then sent all over the world for all to enjoy!
